About

Thank you for visiting Life with Super D!

In 2010 our third son, Daniel was born. He was a happy baby and everything went as expected. We began to notice a few things that were not typical as he grew older. We did not walk or begin to talk as early as the other boys. We assumed it was simply a case of older brothers doing everything for him.

Then in early 2012, at about 15 months, Daniel had his first seizure. Maybe to be more accurate, it was the first seizure we recognized. Within two weeks our world changed drastically.

Life With Super D is my attempt to share some of the struggles, hardships and victories we have experienced as we navigate the world of special needs parents. My desire it to share an honest, raw look at what it looks like to be a father navigating this world as the primary caregiver.

You can read more about our story here and this blog post shares why I affectionately refer to Daniel as Super D.

Thank you for joining us on this journey!
